: Changes in healthcare system, such as implementation of working hours’ restrictions residency programs, and ethical patient’s security regulations, have modified the methods available time for trainee’s education. These restrictions, motivated creation novel teaching tools a complete successful Currently, simulation is one most implemented globally. Fortunately, different models been developed: Virtual simulation, living animals, human animal cadavers, box-training 3D printed artificial models, among others. Nevertheless, each these their own advantages disadvantages. Surgical skills development, improvements perioperative results, decrease hospital stay, reduced costs are some associated with simulation. Lack homogeneous acquisition maintenance equipment drawbacks surgical particularly attractive because it allows trainees to develop “real-life”, controlled, safe scenario. This avoids practicing clinical environment, which potentially increases safety, reduces complications, decreases costs. In last decades, has gaining popularity programs worldwide, protected this activity. As resident, I think that great useful tool should be part all curriculums.
